On Saturday 28th May 2022 we attended the 999 day in Wrexham, Wales. This was our very first event and what a great day it was!
To start the day off we all gathered at location, different members of the emergency services with all kinds of vehicles old and new to form our convoy. As the convoy left location, it travelled through the town of Wrexham and ended right in the centre of town, where all of the vehicles were parked up. The sunshine brought a lot of people out into town, with the kids playing dress up and having photos taken in the amazing vehicles and families learning basic first aid techniques.
Our stall sparked a lot of interest from members of the public as we had a lot delicious baked goods on sale to raise funds for Op Zephyr! We also had a selection of challenge coins, paracord key chains, patches and even some wellington boots for sale. Along side our stall we had two of our support vehicles - a Landover 110 and a Range Rover Carmichael which caught a lot of people's eyes and even got a lot of pictures taken.
On Sunday 29th May 2022 our two support vehicles from the Wrexham show drove over to Chester Lakes for a car meet!
Throughout the day loads of different makes, models, size, age and coloured cars gathered on the field by the lakes. Even though the weather wasn't fully on our side, it didn't stop the enthusiast walking around and seeing all of the unique vehicles.
Our stall was set up right by the entrance so we got to see all of the beautifully cared for vehicles driving in and out - and we even had multiple compliments and photos taken off the Carmichael. Some of our baked goods were still on offer as well as all the challenge coins, paracord key chains, patches and wellington boots.
